Estefanía Garcia Calvo was born in Leganés (Madrid, Spain), in 1991. She graduated from the Faculty of Chemical Sciences at the Complutense University of Madrid in 2013. She obtained in October 2012 a collaboration grant in the Department of Analytical Chemistry, and started working with quantitative proteomics and mass spectrometry. In 2013-2014 she completed the Master's Degree in Chemical Science and Technology at the Complutense University of Madrid. Between 2014 and 2019 she completed her PhD thesis at the Department of Analytical Chemistry under the supervision of Professor Jose L. Luque Garcia, entitled "New approaches based on omics techniques for the evaluation of the toxicity mechanisms associated to food and environmental pollutants",  and qualified with "cum laude". In 2015 she started working at the Mass Spectrometry Unit of  the Complutense University of Madrid, where she continues working today.
